Ann has spoken at over 250 venues across the U.S., Canada, and Hungary (Be sure to ask her about that last one!) for groups as small as nine and as big as 9,000. Below are samples of the various kinds of speaking that Ann does.

Ann giving keynote address

Ann captivates large audiences with an engaging mix of insight, storytelling, and visuals.  Experience has taught her that there is wisdom to be found within every group and she likes to create opportunities for participants to learn from each other.  Ann is known for her good humor.  Her husband thinks she’d be funnier if she would tell some of his jokes.  Ann disagrees.

Preacher's Grove

A longtime homiletics teacher, Ann tries to bring current scholarship around the craft of preaching into her preaching events.  Ann is a regular preacher on The Word, a preaching site sponsored by the Order of Preachers.  She is also a member of the Homiletics Cohort, a project bridging faith and science in the pulpit, funded by the John Templeton Foundation.

Ann giving a workshop

Ann regularly offers workshops and retreats (both in-person and virtual) based on themes from her books. She’s had the privilege of presenting to a wide-range of groups—from teachers and school administrators to health care executives and board members; priests and deacons to volunteer catechists.
